Their free-to-play implementation is as fair as it gets, and you will constantly receive new toys to play with without spending money, so as long as you don't fixate on unlocking a specific weapon or warframe RIGHT NOW then the grind is comfortable. The game can be very challenging if you seek out the harder modes or it can be easy if you just want to relax at the end of the day. Playing around with weapons and character builds and making your space ninja look cool are subsidiary points. Warframe is like Diablo: killing lots of mobs, getting new stuff, killing more mobs with the new stuff and feeling super powerful the whole time is the entire point. Yes, it's grindy, but anyone complaining about that is mistaking the point of the game, I think. You can check out the full list to see if your favorite game made the cut.

Looking over each month's list of top sellers is a great reminder of just how good a year 2017 was and features a plethora of titles too numerous to mention here. Only 9 games were able to break the milestone of having 100,000 or more simultaneous players and almost all of them topped the sales charts as well, with the exception being Payday 2. VR was topped by titles like Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick- ality, Job Simulator, Space Pirate Trainer, and Fallout 4 VR.

To no one's surprise, PUBG made the platinum tier for top sellers along with a handful of titles that included Warframe, Rocket League, Divinity: Original Sin II, and Ghost Recon: Wildlands to name a few. Each title is randomly placed within their group, so there's not a real number one for any category. The various categories have been grouped into platinum, gold, silver, and bronze tiers with the exception of the monthly best sellers.

This year they expanded their categories as well to include best selling VR games, top early access games, the best releases of each month, and the most played titles of 2017.

While they haven't released any solid numbers, for the second year in a row Steam has compiled a list of their best selling games. Some games sold more, while others were played more, and some had a great release month. It can give you a bit of perspective into their attractiveness to the masses.2017 was a great year for video games in general, but success is not always measured in the same metrics. I have given myself the liberty of putting their release date into the table as well.
